1. Ketchup / Mustard
The added sugars and salt is not good for your dog, while mustard and other condiments have toxic elements such as isothiocyanate and spices.

2. Toothpaste
The fluoride in toothpaste is highly toxic when consumed in large amounts, not only to dogs but to humans as well. Try special dog toothpaste for your dog’s teeth.

3. Gum
Gum contains xylitol, a sugar substitute that is very toxic to dogs. What’s more, is that it can cause a choking hazard if it gets lodged in your dog’s throat.

4. Acorns
Acorns contain substances that are called tannins. Tannins are toxic to dogs. Best case scenario, acorns can cause an upset stomach. Worst case scenario, kidney failure, intestinal blockages, and even death. Plus, they’re small enough to get lodged in your dog’s throat.

5. Pickles
Most pickles contain a high level of salt. Salt can produce high blood pressure, excessive thrust, and dehydration in dogs.

6. French Fries
They’re fried! They’re salty! Both of these things are a big no-no for your dog! They shouldn’t kill your dog, but definitely try to avoid giving them to your dog.

7. Pepperoni
Pepperoni contains some pretty unhealthy amounts of sodium and fat. Pepperoni also may contain seasonings that are unsafe for Fido to eat. Pup-peroni, on the other hand, the one you see on TV commercials, is perfectly safe.

8. Nachos
Nachos are high in salt, fat and unnecessary calories. If they’re spicy, they’re even more risky. Spicy foods are usually toxic to your dog.

9. Lemons
ALL citrus fruits, including lemons contain essential oils and a chemical compound called psoralens that are not great for dogs.

10. Fat Trimmings
Everyone’s probably used their dog like a vacuum at some point. All the scraps that fall from the table fall in his belly… well, stop that! You’re putting your pup at risk of a shorter life! Not only will they contribute to making your dog, *ahem,* fat, but they often cause Pancreatitis. Pancreatitis is a very deadly disease.
