Is the Stafforshire Bull Terrier the Right Dog For You?
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier typically lives from 12-14 years.
Staffordshire Bull Terriers, or ‘Staffies’ are beautiful, affectionate, loyal cuddle bugs. They love children and get along well with others. They way they are now is so different from their brutal life in dog-fighting rings.
They are pretty low-maintenance, but you should have some stuff to groom them because it keeps them clean and helps you bond.
They would be OK with an apartment as long as they get proper excercise. They are active indoors and will be fine with a small yard.
Eye problems are the biggest concern with Staffies, they can go blind at just 18 months of age, have eyelash abnormalities, and progressive retinal atrophy, or PRA, is also a concern.
